A federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration cannot stop food stamp recipients from using their benefits to buy sugary drinks, candy, and other sweet snacks. The decision blocks restrictions that were already in place or planned in several states through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps.
